#LessPrideMorePurpose: A Letter to Anyone Who's Wrestling with Faith and Identity
If you’ve come across our #LessPrideMorePurpose posts during Pride Month, you might be wondering what we’re all about. First off—this isn’t about judgment. It’s about sharing something we believe deeply: that there’s more to life than just finding identity in who we are. We believe real purpose comes from knowing whose we are.
This message isn’t coming from people who don’t get it. Many of us leading this ministry once lived within the LGBTQ+ community. We’ve had the same questions, wrestled with the same tension between faith and identity, and we know how real that struggle is. We also understand why Pride Month matters. When you’ve felt unseen or unheard, celebrating your identity can be powerful. We’re not here to dismiss that—we see you.
But we also want to share our side of the story. What we’ve found in Jesus isn’t about shame or exclusion. It’s about transformation. It’s about discovering a kind of love that isn’t just accepting, but also freeing. We’re not here to argue or shame. We’re here because we believe there’s hope, and that hope is for everyone.
This might not be a popular message, but love and truth have to go together. Without truth, love can feel hollow. Without love, truth becomes harsh. But Jesus holds both perfectly—and that’s who we follow.
Maybe right now you’re doing all the right things, and life looks good on the surface. But deep down, something still feels off. That was me. I spent 30 years building a life on my own terms. Outwardly, I looked like I had it all together. But inside, I was empty. I didn’t find peace until I met Jesus—not religion, not rules, but a real relationship. He didn’t wait for me to fix myself. He met me where I was and loved me into freedom.
We’re not asking you to change who you are just to be accepted. We’re simply inviting you to consider that maybe you were made for more. That maybe the love you’ve been searching for isn’t found in self-definition, but in surrender. And that maybe, just maybe, Jesus is the one who can meet you in the middle of the mess and bring real purpose to your life.
We know hashtags can be provocative. But beyond the bold statements is a real heart: you are seen, you are loved, and you are not forgotten. We’re here to share a hope that isn’t selective or exclusive—it’s wide open, for anyone willing to receive it.
Even if you’re not sure what you believe, we’d rather you hear this and have the chance to explore it for yourself than to go your whole life thinking no one ever told you. Now you know. And whatever you decide from here, just know—we’re here, and Jesus is too.
